1 Year On.. A Mini House Tour

Friday, September 01, 2017

As I sit writing this blog post, 6 months after writing my Flying The Nest | 6 Months On post I'm really struggling to come to terms with the fact that 12 months ago, S and I officially moved in together.

It is honestly so crazy to think that 12 months ago I moved out of my family home and became an "adult", what a year it has been!

It's tested my anxiety in more ways than I could've possibly prepared myself for but, there have been a lot more laughs than there have been tears.

The house may not be at the stage I had hoped it would be 12 months on from moving in. My office is nowhere near finished, there is still a tonne of boxes filled with S' belongings taking up half of the room. S' "man-cave" still has a few tweaks that need to be made. Our bedroom hasn't even been touched since moving in and we're currently in the middle of a garden makeover post coming soon but despite the chaos, it feels like home and I wanted to share with you guys just a tiny snippet of our beloved home.

The Living Room

The Kitchen

The En-suite

The Bathroom

I do, regret more than I did 6 months ago, not reaching for my camera and vlogging our moving process. House viewings, even though we only viewed one other house. The stresses, and frustrations! I think it would have been awesome to have been able to look back at that time in my life.

And yes, there is still so much more we need to do. Find places for even more boxes filled with S' belongings. Make tiny tweaks to make each room "perfect" but for now, it has fast become my safe place. Having been out of the country for the best of part May, I had my concerns of returning to our little bubble and it not feeling like home. I needn't have worried though and despite recent months becoming an anxiety-filled battle and adult life almost pushing me to the limit, I've loved every second of the last 12 months.

    1. Thank you for your lovely comment, Jasmin. It really is, I do find myself still having the odd moment of "wow, I don't live at home anymore" haha (home being my family house) but then I remember how happy this little place makes me :) x

  2. Oh my I love your bathroom! The color scheme is so pretty and that little set of drawers is just too cute! Also really like the look of your kitchen as well!
And I feel you on still working on the house a year after moving in! I moved into my apartment two years ago and still find myself tweaking bits here there and everywhere!

    1. Thank you so much Franzi, your sweet comment is so appreciated. A little secret the set of drawers in our en-suite is from B&M ;) Good to know we're not the only ones still tackling boxes or making tweaks, that definitely feels me with a little relief haha x

  3. Good day
Read my testimony! Getting ex back after a breakup.
My boyfriend of a 2year just broke up with me and am 28 weeks pregnant. I have cried myself to sleep most of the nights and don’t seem to concentrate during lectures sometimes I stay awake almost all night thinking about him and start to cry all over again. Because of this I end up not having energy for my next day’s classes, my attendance has dropped and am always in uni and on time. Generally he is a very nice guy, he ended it because he said we were arguing a lot and not getting along. He is right we’ve been arguing during the pregnancy a lot. After the break up I kept ringing him and telling him I will change. I am in love with this guy and he is the best guy I have ever been with. I’m still hurt and in disbelief when he said he didn’t have any romantic feelings towards me anymore that hurt me faster than a lethal syringe. He texts me once and then mainly to check up on how am doing with the pregnancy, he is supportive with it but it’s not fair on me, him texting me as I just want to grieve the pain and not have any stress due to the pregnancy. I was really upset and I needed help, so I searched for help online and I came across a website that suggested that Dr Ahmed can help solve marital problems, restore broken relationships and so on. So I felt I should give him a try. I contacted him and he told me what to do and I did it then he did a spell for me. 28 hours later, my boyfriend came to me and apologized for the wrongs he did and promise never to do it again. Ever since then, everything has returned back to normal. I and my boyfriend are living together happily again.. All thanks to Dr Ahmed. as it is a place to resolve marriage/relationship issues, do you want to be sure if your spouse is being faithful to you or Do you want your Ex to come back to you Contact.: E-mail: Ahmedutimate@gmail.com call him on: +2348160153829 save your crumbling home. I suggest you contact him. He will not disappoint you.
